AP Biology Course Description

AP Biology is a year-long course that is designed to emulate 8 hours of introductory college biology. Topics covered include: Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Energetics, Heredity, Molecular Genetics, Evolutionary Biology, and Anatomy and Physiology. It is recommended that students take Pre-AP Biology and Chemistry before enrolling in this intensive course. In order to obtain college credit, a comprehensive standardized exam is given by the College Board to determine competency in the discipline of biology upon completion of the class.
